Pat McGee Trail
Towns of New Albion, Little Valley and Salamanca, Cattaraugus County.

Western New York Outdoors home

Description:

Named in honor of the popular NYS Senator and local career politician.  There is a parking lot and trailhead starting near the intersection of Leon Road (County Route 6) and Route 353.  The trail travels south to the village of Little Valley and on to Salamanca.  There are signs with descriptions of trail features, a lean-to picnic area, and Linlyco Lake along the way.  You will pass the village of Little Valley, gazebos, pavillion and picnic area, by the county fairgrounds.  You will also be near sections of Little Valley Creek.

The multi-use trail can be enjoyed by hikers, bikers, snowmobilers, birders, xcountry skiers, snowshoers, horseback riders, picnicers and all nature enthusiasts.  Dedicated on June 4th, 2005, on National Trail Day.  The McGee Trail is also intersected by the North Country Scenic Trail, Finger Lakes Trail and the Bicentennial Bicycle Trail.
